Residue

Back to work.
Sometimes I like to clean my palette and start with a blank slate.
Most of the time I like to incorporate the residual paint
from the previous painting. It's like an unbroken chain.
The old informs the new.

  1. I like the idea of the fluidity of connection and progression of the paint in your works. It feels holistic.

  4. I love what you say: "The old informs the new."
I should paint more - your work always makes me want to :)

Thanks for the info on the cookie/butter mold.
I did try a shortbread cookie, but it puffed up too much to really see the detail.
I will try the gingerbread recipe next.
Just plain Butter was a disaster :)
