Light and Shadows

light and shadow
light and shadow II
light and shadow III
My new silhouette paintings really change depending on how the light hits them.
I used a lot of silver and gold guache which creates a celestial glow like distant stars in the sky.
I'm conjuring up my neighbors. The spirits that live in the churchyard.
Seems fitting for this time of year.

  1. I love the gold paint on these!! They kind of remind me of the mandrake in Pan's Labyrinth.
