Drawing With Thread

I found this piece of hand embroidery that I started last year. 

It takes time, but I really enjoy drawing with thread.

It gives my imagery a whole new dimension.
I'm determined to finish.

Love is in the Air

Love is in the air.

Satin bowerbirds have a penchant for collecting blue objects which 

they display in hopes of wooing their lady loves.

I've always been fascinated by the architecture of their bowers and 

the courting rituals of these exotic birds.

2016

Happy New Year! 

2016 is here and we're already 21 days in. I can hardly believe it! 

A brand new year is ahead of us. I love beginnings. So much promise.

I don't have a resolution per se, but I promised myself that I will work harder,  

experiment more with my work and try new things.

What will you do this year?
