Goodbye Mr. Salinger

I just read that J.D. Salinger died at 91.
He was such a reclusive, strange man.
Are there works unpublished, a raft of manuscripts?
I wonder how he spent his days, how he lived. Did he write?
This quote from The Catcher in the Rye seem fitting,
"Who wants flowers when you're dead? Nobody."

While I didn't love " The Catcher in the Rye", I deeply appreciate what he did for modern literature. I'm glad such a great writter had such a long life.

Nicole, I haven't read The Catcher in the Rye in many years, yet much of that story has stuck with me. Indeed, he was a great writer who clearly led the life he wanted.

Paula, Another great book. The painting is from a series of mourners that I did several years ago.

Howard Zinn also died. He was 89. I imagine they are discussing things now.
