Glimmering Light

New bird specimens: Northern Flickers.
They are my favorite type of woodpecker.
They like to eat ants and beetles.

Wow! These are gorgeous! And a new species for me. Their feathers remind me of richly colored textiles -- folk garments or royal vestments. Really beautiful, Holly!
