Trifecta

After days of rain and dreary weather we had sun!

Saturday was a glorious autumn day for the Virginia Fall Races.
The skies were blue and full of billowing white clouds.

We picnicked with friends and family and watched the races.
Afterward we went to the annual pig roast at the
Upperville firehouse which was a hoot.

We spent the evening at a concert with Ramblin' Jack Elliott
He sang great folk tunes and reminisced about the good old days
with Bob Dylan and Woody Guthrie.

Sounds wonderful - but particularly love that you spent the evening listening to Bob & Woodie - what a perfect way to end a glorious day.

Thanks Helen, yes Ramblin' Jack was quite a character and it was a wonderful opportunity to hear him sing and tell tales from his time on the road.
