Ladybird

Meet our Birdie!
She's had some ups and downs in her short life,
but she's found a new home with us!

Birdie is a mutt; she has some border collie markings
and perhaps a little bit of terrier. It's hard to tell. She's a mystery.
She's very lovable and has a lot of energy and likes to take long naps.

She is in good health, but has a little sore on her neck,
which is why she is wearing the lamp shade,
also known as the elizabethan collar.
Isn't she adorable?

she is darling.
You NEEDED another dog.
I have five and though they drive me nuts I can't imagine life without a dog.

So we have a new grand-dog! We think the border collie mix an excellent companion for country walks and explorations.

M & D, We'll get her all trained up before she visits the big house.

Thank you, Laura, your new painting "mist" is exquisite.

She looks like one happy little Birdie!
We share our home with two labradors (or maybe they share there home with us ... so confusing !) either way, it's not a home without them.
P.S I love your pheasants!!

Jacilyn, thank you! I'm so distracted - in a good way! I'll post more pictures soon.

Naomi, thank you! Our first dog family was a dynamic duo, a mutt and yellow lab. Feels like we're starting over and this little girl has big shoes to fill!

Thank you Helen, so sweet of you! She's already responding to her name - I think she likes it.

She is a sweetheart! I hope her sore gets better soon so she does not need to wear her lampshade. :)

Thank you all so much. As the days go by she has completely lost her shyness and is FULL of energy. We go back to the vet today and I hope we can say adieu to the lampshade.
