Repose

Our Birdie has loved her little ducky to death.
This grimy stuffed animal has been loved up, chewed up, and torn apart.

Ducky landed by chance next to my Annette Messager book yesterday
and I couldn't resist setting up these stills.

I hope you will enjoy my weird and wonderful parody of ducky in repose.
The last shot is my favorite.

A few more pictures on flickr.
More on the fabulous work of Annette Messager here.

Rosa Maria, it's a great book! It's available on amazon.

Giraffe, We had a good hearty laugh over these pictures too.

That is so funny. The poor duck, though. Hope she can still be fixed!

O no, I should get some sleep long ago, but after seeing this - how can I?
It would be much better if I would open this post tomorrow morning for a good start of new week. So funny,! :))

oh -- this is sweet holly -- looks like your little ducky is a bit of a performer!

That is TOO funny and cute. I think I like the first one best, although it's the saddest. Poor ducky!

I'm not sure if the ducky can be fixed, but she's still Birdie's favorite. It doesn't seem to matter that ducky is basically a scrap of fuzzy fabric, she proudly carries it around.

Ducky in repose is hilarious!! And you've reminded me of Annette Messenger. I remember seeing her work in the Centre Pompidou Paris over 10 years ago - and had completely forgotten about her. Thank you! WOuld really really like that book, but have to be strict with myself this year :-(

Helen, you need to splurge on the book! I saw her wonderful work at MOMA New York - maybe 1996? I was instantly smitten.

Laura, glad you are diverted! Love your latest paintings!
