Gouache Palette

I love a pretty palette picture, don't you?
The gouache paint is so vibrant. The colors are just begging to be used.
Have a great weekend all!

So pretty! Definitely gets me in the mood to paint! Do you like your gouaches? I've only tried water colors but your art is so vibrant and I can't help but wonder if gouache is a better medium? Thanks Holly!

Carol: Working from a few palettes now for different projects, but I keep coming back to the gouache!

Brittan: please do pin away!

Valerie: The gouache palette is so vibrant or perhaps i chose more vibrant colors! Plus the pigmentation is greater in the gouache vs. watercolor. I still go back to my watercolors, but you should try gouache.

I just got a set of holbein gouache and put some in a palette and as the paint dried it separate from the palette - know I have all these little gouache chips - it doesn't help that the way the palette is half the paints are always upside down when you close it - I'm wondering if I need to use pans instead of just a well palette?!?!

Hmm. is your palette new? Try washing it with an an abrasive sponge to give it a little tooth so the dry paint can stick to it better. You can also try wetting and softening the little chips and try to get them to stay in place. That's all I can think of. If they are stored upside down I can see why they would come off.
