Little Green Charmer

Where do I begin?
His wings? His adorable little snout?

That brilliant color green?
What's not to love about this little green charmer?

I'm smitten.
p.s.
More pictures of this fine fellow on flickr!

Oh oh oh... no wonder you are smitten! He is absolutely devine, and the photos are wonderful - looks as though he would like a little tummie tickle in the first one! I can't wait to get a good camera - my brother used to take amazing macro pics of insects - but they're all on 35mm slide - I should encourage him to digitise them. I checked out your flickr feed, and the cicada shells immediately caught my eye. I get excited every season when the cicadas emerge. I head out searching for them like I did as a kid (I have developed a very good eye for them!!), and pop them on my top - like my own little pet (kinda odd), or even a brooch (kinda odder)! Such great stuff!!

Helen: thank you ever so much! I would love to see your brother's pictures. Glad to know someone else likes cicadas!

Looks like he came from Pixar's Bugs Life! Nature must really have inspired the animators! Wonderful face he has :o)

He's amazing and very beautiful, but I'm a bit scared of grasshoppers. When I was young my older brothers would tell me that biting crickets would sit under the toilet seat and wait for me. eeek!

Rowena, that's too funny. I'm sure at the time it was frightful!
