Hello Spring

Yes, yes, I know we just had a little freezing rain storm, but it will not set me back.
The snowdrops are out! the crocuses are blooming!
Hello spring! I have missed you terribly.

Do crocuses really have little spots on their bulbs or is that artistic lisence?

The only reason I ask is that they don't grow here and they're such delightful delicate blooms.

Felicity, I rather like the spots, but I don't think you will find them on real crocuses. ; ) And full disclosure: crocuses really grow from corms, not bulbs.

Pretty pretty crocuses!

Have you come across the amazingly artistic, if slightly eerie world of the blog, The Hermitage? Don't quite know why I suddenly thought of it, but some of your trees and insects slightly reminded me of hers.
