The seventeen year old magicicadas are emerging in our area!
I spotted this one in my garden a few days ago.

I would be giddy to see this. Not available in the PNW.
I'm now on the look-out for a newly emerging one, although I don't think we have that many. They are just dripping from the trees in some areas south of us. Fascinating, no?
