Silent Sky

Silent Sky
An elegy of sorts.
Who doesn't love Emily Dickinson?
The imagery in her poetry...
Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul.

last week my oldest daughter wrote a paper on the dickinson poem "the last night that she lived" such a moving piece, primarily because emily created such atmosphere- much like this poignant and beautiful post. thanks for sharing, holly.

I love her poetry and over the years I have made many painting with her thoughts seared in my mind. She captured life, death, nature with such drama and atmosphere!
