Barn Owl

My latest watercolor painting
Just finished this one today and this fine feathered fellow
has flown off to his new home already!
Time to start dreaming about the next one.
Have a lovely evening all!

Who, who, who whooo got that painting already? They were quick—maybe it was a commission. Barn owls are my fave owl; I like their rounded, cowl-like head and mysterious face. There have been a couple of them living in the eaves of a building nearby. It took me forever to find where they actually were roosting. Two-who!

Awesome! Only thing better would be to see it in person.

Just Beautiful :)
Last Spring we had a Barn Owl knock himself out on our sliding door. There had been such a plague of mice in the suburbs due to the end of the drought that the owls had moved in to clean up the mice! It must be divine to live in the country where they are most common. Happy Holidays Holly!

I have just found your blog via Pixie at The Crafte Nook and so glad I did. Your work is absolutely beautiful, so delicate and your colour palette is just my cup of tea. Jaynex
