Boy Holly it is hard to pick a favorite bird, but I must say I do have a special place in my heart for chickadees. There is a park nearby where they are quite used to people and if you hold out your hand they will land on your fingertips and eat any seeds you may be holding. One day I did not have the preferred "brand" appearantly and the little guy landed, picked up a beakful and promptly spit it out. But the cutest part was the stern chattering he proceeded to give me all the time being perched on my fingertips!! Sorry for rambling, but I had to share with another bird lover:)And your Bluebird is lovely!!

My favorite bird, especially this time of year, is the red robin. They stand out so royally against the gray and dreary backdrop of winter.

my favorite is the bush tit. They fly in groups and cover a ball of suet. They allow other birds to join them, like chickadees or junkos. They fly like a school of fish swims. I imagine they are happy.

Holly--all of your birds are gorgeous! If I had to pick a favorite it would probably be the cardinal...the state bird of Ohio.

Holly,

It's a hard choice to decide which is my favorite bird. I do enjoy Owls, BUT I like Cardinals. Oh decisions, decisions! I love all your work!

I just had to chime in because I'm truly enjoying the variety of birds you have all mentioned - some of which I've never seen and will have to look up in my field guide!

Well I love the way you draw birds so yes please can I enter this give away.

I have so many different favourite birds. Garden birds have to be bluetit and blackbird, birds of prey, owl,for formation, geese, for totem medicine and sea bird PUFFIN (puffin is so charismatic and needs a lot of protecting). Then Raven is a huge favourite too. Sorry can't just pick one :)

One of my mom's favorite birds is the Pygmy Owl, they visit us often in the mountains of Colorado. I can sit for hours just watching birds at our backyard feeder....as long as our cat does not decide to show up!!

I love to watch the birds out my parent's kitchen window. My fave has to be the cardinal and some sweet little yellow ones. I can't remember their name, though.

I *love* birds but my favorites would have to be chickadees or juncos -- they're so little and cute but, they can handle sticking around for the winters here in New England. x

Your work is so beautiful!

I think my favorite bird is the Pileated Woodpecker. We see them in our woods often and I'm always surprised at just how large they are, and the racket they make when they're pecking at the trees.

Thank you for the opportunity getting your lovely work!
Hmm.. there are so many birds I love - hawk, eagle, seagull, owl, titmouse,... -, but my "first love" was a Sooty-headed Bulbul. We once took care of one after it was injured by a cat. Later it always came to visit us, when we called it by whistling. With the hair (I don't know how it's called) on it's head and it's eyes, it can express it's feeling - excited or anxious. And what I loved most about it: it sang so beautifully!
