Dog Days Are Over
We've had a few chilly mornings. Feels like fall.
I thought I'd entertain you with a little music from florence + the machine.
If you like theatrical fashion, the catalog from the Alexander McQueen exhibit at the Metropolitan,
Savage Beauty, is a must have. I'm kicking myself for not getting up to the city this summer.
Alas, the dog days are over.

The Plots
My ideas and influences come from so many different directions.
Sometimes they are right next door.
I live next to a little churchyard. There are four rows of tiny graves dating from the 1800's.
They sit neatly under huge pine trees where a flock of vultures roost every winter.
I have started to wonder about my quiet neighbors, imagining their stories.
I'm thinking of making their portraits.

Spirals
I just loved the spirals of beetles and bees at the Harvard Museum of Natural History!
Such a gorgeous display. Can we say beetle mania?

Have a great weekend!

Fine Feathered Friends
Hello, my fine feathered friends, I'm back!
I took a marvelous day trip to Cambridge, Massachusetts while I was away.
I've had the book, The Rarest of the Rare, for a few years and have always wanted to visit
the Harvard Museum of Natural History in person.
As you can imagine the museum was full of fine specimens and I was in heaven,
but their glass flower collection was by far the show stopper!
It was such fun to explore the museum and walk around Cambridge.
We finished our day with a fabulous dinner at Bergamot.
I'll post more pictures over the next few days!

Points North
Forgive me. I have been taking a little blogging break this month.
Sometimes I need to stop and take some time, explore new directions, see where things lead.
