Rainy Reflections

It's pouring rain here today. A good day to make a pot of tea and keep on painting!

I decided to wait until Monday to update my shop. 

Hopefully I'll finish one more of the larger pieces that I have been working on.

6 AM

6 am. Still snowing. Looks like a Cy Twombly painting.

8 am. Cardinals gathering. They know I filled the feeders.

9 am. I'm getting the look from Cowboy, the collie eye stare down. 

9:15 am He's relentless, but very cute, so I give in.

My Morning

Yup, that's me! Bundling up for a very cold walk with Birdie and Cowboy. 

It's a frosty one. The field is frozen but beautiful nonetheless. Brrrr.

It's quite chilly outside. Maybe twenty degrees. 

Warming up après walk with a little earl and Eva.  Love, love, love Eva Hesse!

And now I'm off to the studio to paint!

Three paintings in the early stages. 

A snowy owl, woodpeckers, and turkey vulture.

The beginning is so much fun. Just letting the loose washes flow all over the paper.

Later on, when these washes are thoroughly dry, I'll start to layer. 

I'll keep you posted on my progress!
