Secret Garden

Strolling through the Bishop's Garden
at the Washington National Cathedral.

Narrow stone pathways covered with moss
lead you into a beautiful secret garden.

It's a magical place to visit in the summer.

Waves of green, those branches like currents ...

How lovely. We're headed to England soon, and I am so hoping we will find such perfect hidden gardens. Thanks for sharing.

red-handed: the branches are so long, the tree so old. It is a variety of pine or spruce i think. i is very carefully cabled by an arborist to support and protect the very long limbs.

shelia: i'm so jealous. i'm sure you will find an abundance of gardens to explore!

pergolina: i love visiting this little garden whenever i venture into washington. it is just so sweet.
