I really have a great love of moths. Once I rescued one from a grocery store and it was as big as a small bird. I've never seen that variety again. The antennae are so unique. No wonder they have those huge eyes on their wings—I noticed birds like to go after them to get some snack, poor old moths.
I'm really pleased with how these tiny paintings turned out and couldn't be happier with the frames with their classic profiles, linen matts and gilded rabbets. It turned them into little gems, really.
Yes, the drawings would make great fabric- something I've been thinking about for sure!
I love your work! Too bad I missed the giveaway! I might buy that book anyways, your paintings are so beautiful to look at. I'm going to try painting a few things on my own, using your good painting basics advice. =)
