Residue


Back to work.
Sometimes I like to clean my palette and start with a blank slate.
Most of the time I like to incorporate the residual paint 
from the previous painting. It's like an unbroken chain.
The old informs the new.

yes, i agree. in fact the smudges left behind are often starting points when i draw.

Thanks for the info on the cookie/butter mold.
I did try a shortbread cookie, but it puffed up too much to really see the detail.
I will try the gingerbread recipe next.
Just plain Butter was a disaster :)
