I love collecting little bits of nature on my daily walks.
The hummingbird nest was quite a find. It was on the ground just waiting to be noticed.
I pulled my latest specimens together for a closer look.
I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Beautiful collection and very inspiring!
Absolutely beautiful! Acorns, pinecones, feathers, nests...all of my favorite things!
Thank you all! I'm glad you are inspired! Red: Which movie about butterflies? I'm intrigued.
Yes we do! Thank you for putting these together :-)
Beautiful. And your calligraphy is exquisite.
Agree, your calligraphy is so lovely and it makes the collection even more exquisite.
And I'm curious about the butterfly movie too!
acorns! <3
Thanks all! Have a lovely day!
Beautiful....I love the idea of collecting and labeling (I was a library cataloger for many years, after all!) and these photos are luscious. I had that Hummingbird Cabinet (I can't remember the exact title at the moment) book you mentioned on my Christmas wish list....but sadly Santa didn't bring it....I'm still pining for it and will get it as soon as the funds flow more fully!
Hope you are having a great start to the year!
Patti: thank you! It's been a great start to the year! Can't believe we're already into February. Perhaps a properly labeled collection painting in in order. We'll see...

RosaMaria: I'd love to see the flora of Mexico!
The collection is lovely, but the photography is PERFECT! I love the color, the air, the atmosphere... They tell a story!
Meeha: so kind of you to say!
Great photos! I love it.
Nice collection, and very well laid out! Where have you kept them all now, though...?!
Ben,
Some are in a drawer, some on my desk and some didn't last long.
